Brushless motors are a new trend in airsoft for AEG. What is a brushless motor?

Brushless motors are a new generation of motors that are completely changing the shape of airsoft motors. Since these motors don’t have brushes—which wear out quite often—you won’t have to worry about your replica stopping firing because of an issue with this.

  • Extremely low power consumption. You can play for much longer on a single charge. You’ll especially appreciate this at multi-day events. And thanks to this, even smaller batteries such as 1000 mAh can be used.
  • Because it has no brushes, the motor is more efficient and delivers power more quickly. This is particularly evident in its quick response and high rate of fire.
  • Minimal heat generation. Thanks to their low electrical resistance, brushless motors generate minimal heat, even during longer use.

Why should you change your motor?

Replacing the stock motor with a better, brushless motor is important if you want better trigger response, rate of fire, or even increased power. A stronger spring requires a more powerful motor.
Brushless motors offer a wide range of rps, whether high-speed, low-speed, or something in between. This allows everyone to choose a motor that suits their playing style and requirements.

What is the difference between a brush motor and a brushless motor?

The main difference is the absence of brushes, as we mentioned earlier.
Another major issue with conventional motors is overheating. Conventional motors heat up quickly, which is a particular problem with weapons used for sustained fire, such as machine guns. Of course, there is also slower trigger response and higher battery consumption.
