KPYK SA-PJ12 Prime™ Aster ETU BLDC™

The Specna Arms x KPYK SA-PJ12 PRIME™ Aster ETU BLDC™ is an electric airsoft carbine (AEG) for players who want a modern, compact AK-platform rifle with serious performance and no need for immediate upgrades.

Built in cooperation with KPYK, a Ukrainian company known for modern firearm accessories for AK rifles, the SA-PJ12 combines a solid steel construction, tactical KPYK externals and carefully selected internals with a GATE ASTER V3 processor unit. It is designed to be a ready-to-go solution for demanding outdoor games.

Construction and Materials – Real Steel Feel

The SA-PJ12 PRIME™ is largely made from steel, so it feels solid and realistic in your hands:

• Steel parts include the dust cover, outer barrel, gas tube, trigger guard, magazine catch, selector lever, sling eye on the stock and the folding stock assembly.

• Aluminium is used where high strength and reduced weight are both needed – for the iron sights, muzzle device, side dovetail rail, charging handle assembly and the M-LOK handguard with CRC 1U004 gas tube cover from KPYK.

• Polymer is used for the pistol grip and mid-cap magazine – comfortable and durable.

The receiver is finished with Nano Coating to help protect the surface from scratches during regular use.

With a weight of about 3720 g, the rifle offers a realistic “metal gun” feel without being overly heavy for all-day skirmishes.

Modern External Setup and Folding Stock

The SA-PJ12 PRIME™ keeps the classic AK character but adds modern ergonomics and mounting options:

• M-LOK handguard – mount flashlights, vertical grips, PEQ boxes and other accessories exactly where you want them.

• Top Picatinny rail – perfect for red dot sights or compact optics.

• Side dovetail rail – ready for traditional AK-style optic mounts.

• 24 mm CW thread on the muzzle – allows you to install flash hiders or suppressors.

• Plenty of room under the dust cover for a stick-type battery.

A major advantage of this model is its folding stock:

• Folded, the rifle becomes much shorter (down to around 730 mm), making it easier to transport, store and manoeuvre in tight spaces or vehicles.

• Extended, it provides a stable shoulder weld for accurate shooting at range.

With a full length of about 95 cm when the stock is open, it works very well as a universal outdoor rifle that can still be made compact when needed.

PRIME™ Internals – Built to Perform Without Extra Tuning

The Prime™ Series is designed so you can take the rifle straight to the field without immediately upgrading the internals. Inside the SA-PJ12 PRIME™ you’ll find:

• 6.02 mm precision inner barrel – for better accuracy and consistency.

• Specna Arms Magnus™ TDC rotary Hop-Up chamber – very fine, stable hop adjustment.

• Helium™ Flat Hop bucking – improves BB lift and stability, especially with heavier BBs.

• Steel cylinder – durable and reliable.

• CNC steel gears with a 16:1 ratio – faster cycling and snappy response.

• Reinforced piston with steel rack – designed to withstand higher stress.

• Aluminium cylinder head and aluminium nozzle – improving air seal and consistency.

• 8 mm J-Cage ball bearings (motor and bevel gear) plus an 8 mm slide bearing on the spur gear.

Out of the box, the rifle sits at roughly 430 FPS with 0.20 g BBs, which makes it very well suited to outdoor games where you need good range and solid impact (always make sure the setup matches your local field limits).

DarkMatter™ Brushless Motor – Fast and Efficient

The drivetrain is powered by the Specna Arms DarkMatter™ High Speed 27–35K brushless motor:

• Brushless design – no carbon brushes means less wear and a longer service life.

ESA2™ Quick Spring Change

The SA-PJ12 PRIME™ features the ESA2™ Quick Spring Change system:

• By folding the stock and removing the rear cover, you gain direct access to the spring guide.

• No need to remove the entire gearbox from the body.

The rifle comes with two additional springs:

• M90 – for lower power, useful on fields with stricter limits or for closer engagements.

• M135 – for higher power, if allowed by local rules.

This system lets you adapt your rifle to different fields and roles simply by swapping the spring, without complex disassembly.
