What does II. quality mean?
Products in the second quality category are 100% functional, but they may have a minor defect that does not affect the functionality of the product itself. Each product is inspected and only then released for sale.
All defects are individually mentioned for each product.
The products of the second quality category also come with a 2-year warranty.
Under the term silencer accessories we can imagine all kinds of foam fillers for noise reduction, thread adapters, centering rings, or covers for applying 3D masking or covering the silencer. Here you will find products from good brands such as Balystik, EPES and many more. What exactly the accessories are used for is discussed below.
If you don't like your silencer or have found your dream model, it is possible to purchase tasteful camouflage covers. If the thread of the silencer and the thread of the outer barrel are incompatible, an easy solution is to purchase a thread adapter. If you are bothered by the “wobble” of the inner barrel in the silencer, a centering insert can be purchased, but beware that it may need to be adjusted to keep the barrel in the barrel-hop chamber-barrel axis. Some inserts have a tendency to misalign the barrel and subsequently ruin the tightness of the entire assembly. It is important to have accoustic foam or special noise moderators in the silencer to quieten the shot. However, a silencer with foam does not always guarantee a silenced replica. Read first the paragraph on how to silence different types of replicas in the classic silencers article
First of all, it is good to choose what length you want, usually they are sold 22 cm long. The cover has several uses and these can even be combined. The first option is to cover up a tacky silencer, if you have a red silencer for example and don't want to be seen as a beacon. The second option is to attach 3D camouflage elements, since like the silhouette of the head, the silhouette of the gun in the woods is a very unnatural and easily spotted thing. As a 3D element you can use a camouflage net, which will then serve as another interface for other 3D elements, or various artificial or real leaves, grasses, stems, bushes. Another way to use the cover is to extend the silencer towards the barrel. For example, if you have a very short silencer and would like to make the ratio of silencer to barrel length more even, it is possible to select a longer wrap and then fit it to cover part of the barrel, thus extending the length of the imaginary silencer. All of these options can be combined to make a complete replica visage.
Last but not least, the silencer cover can be used as another element to silence the replica, for example in combination with a foam insert or noise moderator for airsoft silencers.
The most important parameter for the foam filling of the silencer is its outer diameter. In order to achieve a quality and trouble-free function, it is good to choose the right size foam filler.
If it is not possible to get the exact size, it is a good idea to buy a LARGER diameter that you can cut and adjust (for example, for square silencers, it is a good idea to buy a diameter at least as large as the longest edge of the silencer. It is important to test and verify the passage of the BBs through the silencer, whether somewhere the BB does not rub against the filling and thus you do not lose accuracy when shooting.
When choosing a brand, it depends on your idea of price. The cheaper Balystik foam fillers are good, but they can't silence a shot as well as the more sophisticated Noise moderators from EPES.
Our tip: Classic foam inserts can be combined and modified to resemble the shape of an Epes noise moderator, this will break up the sound more in the silencer, however it is just a cheap copy of a system that works well. We discuss more about how to silence an airsoft gun in the classic silencers category.
In the article about silencers and compensators, the threads are already described, but the most important parameters when choosing an adapter will be described again. You have to find out the diameter and orientation of the thread on the replica (for example, by caliper and right hand rule). Then you have to find out the diameter and orientation on the silencer. When choosing an adapter, it's also a good idea to pay attention to the length of the individual threads, especially the internal ones, so you can hide the thread in the silencer. If the adapter or silencer doesn't have a locking grub screw, it's a good idea to purchase Thread lock from 4UAD and glue one of the two threads to make the installation easier.
The centring insert in the silencer is to center the inner barrel inside the silencer so that the edge of the silencer does not stop the BB flying out of the barrel of the gun. This can happen, for example, if the threads on the gun or the silencer are crooked or of poor quality, or if the barrel is crooked. Important: A centering insert is an accessory where it is important to make sure your replica really needs it and won't do more harm than good. Because routing the outer barrel through the centering insert can throw off the axis of the entire replica and cause inconvenience.
