What does II. quality mean?
Products in the second quality category are 100% functional, but they may have a minor defect that does not affect the functionality of the product itself. Each product is inspected and only then released for sale.
All defects are individually mentioned for each product.
The products of the second quality category also come with a 2-year warranty.
Bipods are two-legged support devices designed to provide stability and balance during shooting. The bipod is primarily used by sniper rifle or DMR shooters. They attach to the bottom of the rifle and create a stable platform for accurate shots. The bipod reduces hand fatigue and minimizes movements caused by shaking hands, increasing accuracy, especially at long distances.
The bipod is suitable for anyone who needs to shoot accurately at longer distances or hold a specific position for long periods of time. Typically machine gun "nests" or observation positions. So if you are an airsoft player with either a sniper rifle, DMR or machine gun, target shooter, or air rifle bipod owner it can greatly improve your shooting performance and is a fantastic addition. It is especially useful in situations where steady aiming is critical.
Bipods come in different types. Each model is designed to suit specific needs and preferences. Understanding the different types will help you choose the version that best suits your intended use, whether for airsoft, hunting or target shooting.
These bipods are suitable for use on flat ground or a pad where they can be used as a stable support. They have a fixed height and position. They are simple, durable and often represent the most cost-effective option.
Advantages: simple, robust and lightweight. Disadvantages: Limited adaptability to uneven surfaces or changes in position.
These bipods feature independently adjustable, cushioned feet that allow you to adjust the height for different shooting positions or terrain. They are typically appreciated by airsoft players. They are therefore suitable for shooters who need the flexibility to adapt to different conditions, such as uneven ground in the woods.
Benefits: highly versatile and suitable for uneven terrain, adjustable as needed Cons: Slightly heavier and more complex than fixed models.
Harris bipods feature adjustable legs and some models have swivel functions that allow you, with the gun, to comfortably aim up and down, as well as partially rotate the gun in the right and left axis. Some types of Harris rifles also have the so-called "swing" which keeps the rifle in an uneven terrain always in a vertical direction, which is even more appreciated by shooters of airsoft replicas (hop up). Harrises are for those who need reliability and quality to look really good on the gun.
Advantages: durability, reliability and versatility. Cons: They can be heavier and more expensive than standard models.
Our Tip: Harris-type scopes from Vector Optic are sized for use on edged weapons. For airsoft, they are an ideal choice.
The ideal height depends on your style of play and the positions you plan to use during the game. For players who often shoot from a prone position, a shorter bipod with an adjustable range of 6 to 9 inches is more ideal. This size will keep your rifle low to the ground, giving it stability and still keeping a low profile to stay concealed. If you're playing in an environment with uneven terrain or need to shoot from higher positions, such as squatting or sitting, consider a taller bipod with a range of 9 to 13 inches or more.
Our Tip: The feet should be longer than the magazine in the gun so the gun doesn't sit on the magazine when in the shooting position.
Choosing the correct way to mount the bipod is essential to ensure compatibility and ease of use with your airsoft rifle. Different mounting systems offer unique advantages, so understanding how they work will help you choose the best one for your needs.
Picatinny rail also known as RIS (military designation) is one of the most popular mounting systems due to its versatility and wide range of applications. Picatinny bipods are easy to install and provide a solid connection, making them a great choice for most airsoft rifles. If your rifle doesn't have a Picatinny rail, various mounting adapters that can be attached to things like the barrel will come in handy.
M-LOK (Modular Lock) is a modern mounting system that emphasizes lightweight construction and modularity. M-LOK compatible bipods attach directly to rail sections with slots, reducing weight and bulk compared to traditional systems.
KeyMod is another modular system similar to the M-LOK system that includes keyhole-shaped holes for attaching accessories. Although less widespread than the M-LOK, KeyMod bipods still provide a secure connection. Installation to the weapon is virtually identical to the M-Lok.
Some bipods are equipped with quick release (QD) mechanisms that allow for quick installation and removal. These systems are particularly useful for airsoft players who change between different accessories or rifles during games. The disadvantage with them is that they increase the overall weight of the replica.
Harris bipods attach from the bottom of the gun either via the integrated RIS, via the mounting pin on sniper rifles, or via a special mounting adapter that snaps onto the top of the bipod body. This adapter then attaches to the M-bow, RIS, etc. depending on the model. Thanks to this module it is even possible to rotate the whole weapon, some modules even have a QD system. Always, it depends on the specific model, legs or mounting module.
Some manufacturers, such as Vector Optics, already add a basic adapter for the RIS in the box together with the feet
After each use, especially in outdoor conditions, wipe the bipod with a clean cloth to remove dirt, mud and moisture. Pay special attention to the joints and mounting points. Lubricate moving parts regularly. Apply a small amount of lubricant to the joints and locking mechanisms to ensure smooth operation. Avoid excessive lubrication, which can attract dust and dirt.
