The most interesting feature of the Blaster AK is the fire flash simulation. At the end of the compensator there are three LEDs that illuminate the fired BB and the surrounding gas when fired. The Flash is best visible when used with gas replicas, when the residual gas after the shot is illuminated. This effect is also noticeable when used with AEGs, although less so. The blaster is designed for green glowing BBs (Tracer BBs). With each shot, the sensors pick up the passing BB and briefly illuminate it with light. This makes the BB visible in the dark for the duration of its flight. This effect provides a breathtaking spectacle and also helps fellow soldiers to determine the position of the opponent (the BB is a so-called tracer).The silencer is IP65 rated (against dust and water). It is thus ideal for outdoor use.

The blaster can be used in 4 modes:

• Lighting with flame imitation (up to 12,000 balls per charge)
• Flame imitation only (up to 12,000 beads per charge)
• Illumination only (up to 24,000 beads per charge)
• Sniper Tracer mode (illuminates only every fourth bullet)

The blaster saves its own battery by automatically switching to sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. To wake up, just shake the compensator.
The status of the compensator (i.e. on/battery voltage/self-test result) is indicated by an audible signal and a coloured flashing LED. The illumination module is fixed in the aluminium housing of the compensator with a matt anodised surface. It is powered by an internal Li-Ion battery. To charge the battery, unscrew the end cap of the compensator and connect the USB-C cable (not included). Under the end cap you will also find the power button.
