The slide is metal with precision marking like a real steel weapon. Another thing that adds to the realism of the gun is the BlowBack system. 

This airsoft Glock 17 Gen 5 is a replica of the MOS model and just like its real steel counterpart is optics-ready of out the box, and also like its real steel counterpart could take 4 different optics plates to accommodate different popular red dots and their footprints, allowing you to run almost any red dot optics that you could think of.
