What is the best design for a dump pouch and how is it used?

A good magazine pouch should have several key features. It should be easy to open with one hand. The magazine pouch is usually worn rolled up on a belt and is only opened when needed. This means that during a firefight, it will be accessed with the support hand, which opens the pouch and inserts the magazine while the weapon remains ready in the dominant hand.

Where is the best place to carry a dump pouch?

The location of the quick-draw holster depends on the shooter, but it is usually placed on the non-dominant rear side of the combat belt, which is the most common option, but it can also be placed on the side of the plate carrier or vest. The risk of damage to this part of the equipment is much higher than with other pouches. This is due to the sharp parts of the magazines and the throwing of items on top of each other.

Depending on the intended use, you need to decide how big a holster you will need. For example, airsoft players may prefer an ultra-lightweight holster to reduce bulk, while hunters may opt for a larger holster that can hold additional equipment such as a flashlight.
 
But be careful. The more items you have in the pouch, the more uncomfortable it will be when moving.
