CNC Piston 8 steel teeth - POM

The CNC piston with 8-tooth steel rack - POM is a new-generation piston designed for standard electric airsoft guns using DSG (Dual Sector Gear) setups with 2 × 8 teeth. Compared to common designs, it offers a completely reworked construction, more precise manufacturing, and highly durable materials for maximum reliability even under heavy stress.

The piston body is CNC-machined from a solid block of POM-C, a material highly resistant to mechanical stress, wear, and long-term load. POM-C also has very low moisture absorption, handles long-term oil exposure well, and offers a wide operating temperature range from -60 °C to +100 °C. Thanks to CNC machining, the piston body is extremely precise, straight, and free of the shape inconsistencies often found in injection-molded plastic parts.

The body design is reinforced with a solid bridge under the first pickup tooth, helping reduce the risk of rack collapse under heavy load. The piston rack itself is seated in grooves, which prevents it from lifting during operation.

The rack is CNC-machined from high-quality 1.7102 spring steel and hardened using a special heat-treatment process to 52–54 HRC, which has proven to be ideal for long-term durability. The second tooth is removed, and the third tooth is shortened by half, helping protect the system against gear lock-up.
